New Team Categories for 2010- 2011 Iowa Region Teams.

This season the Iowa Region will offer teams the opportunity to form either as the Age level teams we have used in the past or Grade level.

The Age levels will be 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, 18U.
o All players must be the listed age from Sept 1- Aug 31.
o No Waivered players are allowed on Age Level Teams
o Age Level teams may play Age level and Grade level events.
o Age Level teams are eligible for all National Qualifiers, National Championships and out of region events.

Grade level teams will be the 2nd option for teams this season. All members of these teams must meet the age appropriate level or be in that grade or a lower grade.
o Examples or Grade Level teams are teams that have players who meet the 12U or are registered in 6th Grade or lower and so forth.
o Grade Level teams may have as many players waivered as they want. Grade level teams may place all age appropriate players on their team and then the region will add the other players as waivered player.
o Grade level teams may only play Grade Level events that are offered in the Iowa Region.
o Grade level teams are NOT ELIGIBLE for any of the following events: National Qualifiers, National Championships and out of region events.
o Grade Teams MAY ONLY PLAY IN THE IOWA REGION.

Tournament Divisions for 2010-2011will be either Age or Grade Level

==The Gold, Silver and Either categories will be eliminated.

==The playing categories for tournaments this year will either be listed as Age Level events- in which only teams in the Age Levels may play or Grade Level events in which the Grade level AND appropriate age level teams can participate.
o Examples: 11u/5th grade, 12u/6th grade, 13u/7th grade

==The Iowa Junior Regionals will offer

o Qualifiers (Age Level teams only),
o Age Level and
o Grade Level
