2011 Junior Regionals Dates

    * April 2 & 3, 2011
      Non-Qualifying 15u/9th grade, 16u/10th grade, 17u/11th grade & 18u/12th grade
      Qualifying 15u, 16u, 17u & 18u

    * April 9 & 10, 2010
      Non-Qualifying 10u/4th grade, 11u/5th grade, 12U/6th grade, 13U/7th grade & 14U/8th 
      (Qualifying 12U, 13U & 14U will likely be on this date as well, but still to be confirmed)

Teams may select their own playing division.

• Qualifying Division is for those teams trying to earn a bid to Nationals.
• Age divisions are for Age teams (18u, 16u, etc.) with no waivered players.
• Grade division are for teams with waivered players that meet Grade qualification.

ENTRY FEES:

QUALIFIER DIVISION: The teams that want to earn a bid to Junior Nationals should enter the qualifying divisiion. The entry fee for the Qualifying division is $435 plus a $450 deposit. If a team earns a bid Nationals and does NOT accept the bid the deposit will be forfeited. For the teams that earn a bid and accept it the $450 will be used toward the Entry fee for the National event.

NON-QUALIFYING DIVISION: Teams in the Age Level and Grade Level (non qualifying) divisions will pay a $350 entry fee.

ENTRY DEADLINE: February 15th.
After Feb. 28th teams will be charged an extra $50 for late entries or division changes. Late entries will only be accepted if room exsists in a division.

How to Enter: Either enter the tournament through the online tournament system, or send a paper entry form along with the entry fee to the Iowa Region.

Participation Regulations

    * Teams do NOT have to qualify to participate in the Iowa Junior Regional event.
    * Players should only participate in 1 session of the Iowa Junior Regionals
    * Player Participation EXCEPTION: If a team is entered for Junior Regionals and finds that they have lost a player due to injuries, illness or conflicts, that team may borrow up to 2 players who have or will be participating in the other session of the regional event. If possible the team should first choose players who have not or will not participating in the other session of the event.

Hotel Information

The Des Moines Convention and Visitor's Bureau kindly takes care of reserving hotel blocks for Jr. Regionals.  If a Regionals hotel block is full at a hotel, it will no longer show up in their system, so they desk clerk may tell you there is not a block for that event.  It actually means that the block is full!
